I recently received a query to curate a research topic on non-targeted analytical screening and biological exposure pathways for Frontiers in Environmental Toxicology. I have declined, but they are looking for others that might be interested. Please reach out to Rocio Guenther <rocio.guenther@frontiersin.com> if you’re interested. Just mention you got the info from me.

Frontiers in Environmental Toxicology focuses on the transport, biological impacts, and ecological consequences of chemical pollutants. While purely analytical instrumentation papers belong in analytical journals, our section specifically emphasizes connecting non-targeted chemical identification with biological exposure pathways, cellular uptake, and organismal toxicity. Open-access collections in our journal provide reach across environmental chemistry, analytical mass spectrometry, and ecotoxicology.

A Research Topic is a focused collection that brings together leading perspectives around an evolving research topic. Serving as a Topic Editor involves defining the collection’s themes, encouraging submissions from your network, and collaborating with other co-editors to share responsibilities and review management. Our dedicated editorial team supports you by handling administrative coordination, reviewer reminders, and operational tracking.
