Educational Subcommittee
We review current BP4NTA resources and collect and design new resources for improved education on NTA.
The current goals are:
- Updating the literature reference list and the reference content
- Design an upper-level college course on NTA and upper-level materials
Study Planning Tool (SPT)
The SPT committee is developing a tool and associated guidance to support individual laboratories and researchers in designing high-quality studies that use NTA, including ultimately creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance plans.
The current goals are:
- Develop the Study Planning Tool, including creating supporting educational materials and leading a stakeholder-driven evaluation of the SPT
- Disseminate guidance for SOPs using NTA methods
- Coordinate BP4NTA efforts related to reporting, study design, quality assurance, and reference material development
- Network and interact with:
- Laboratory QA/QC Managers
- Commercial Analytical Laboratories
- Standard Development Organizations
PFAS BP4NTA Subcommittee
This subcommittee is focused on challenges related to PFAS-specific NTA fields.
The current goals are:
- Facilitate cross-sharing of PFAS spectral libraries between users, software developers, and stakeholders
- Contribute to the Study Planning Tool (SPT) efforts for PFAS NTA
- Drafting quality control, confidence reporting, and best practices for PFAS analysis
- Drafting recommendations for transitioning between targeted and non-targeted analysis for both industrial and academic research
GC NTA Subcommittee
This subcommittee is focused on the use of gas chromatography within nontargeted analysis.
The current goals are:
- Discuss the state of the field of GC NTA
- Share Resources – methods, papers, or other useful materials
- Provide direction on tool development to more effectively utilize GC in NTA Spaces
Extractables and Leachables Subcommittee
The BP4NTA Extractables and Leachables (E&L) Technical Subcommittee is dedicated to advancing best practices for non-targeted analysis in E&L studies
Our Mission
- Integrate Guidance Documents: Align ISO and FDA guidance with non-targeted analysis frameworks to ensure consistency and reliability in E&L testing.
- Promote Collaboration: Build bridges between researchers, industry leaders, and regulators to share knowledge and resources.
- Enhance Education and Training: Develop accessible educational resources and training programs for newcomers and seasoned professionals alike.
