Feerick
Hello everyone!

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, August 19th at 12 pm US Eastern time. The Zoom link is at the bottom of this post, with full information below. Our speaker, Anna Feerick, is a graduate student at UC Davis and the co-lead of BP4NTA's Gas chromatography with nontargeted analysis (GC-NTA) working group. We're very excited for her talk on the GC-NTA group's exploration on the current state and paths forward for the field in "Gas Chromatography and Non-targeted Analysis: Struggles and Successes."

We look forward to seeing you there!

Extractables & Leachables Round Robin Kickoff

The BP4NTA E&L Technical Subcommittee is advancing a data processing round robin designed to evaluate how laboratories process and interpret the same non-targeted analysis datasets. The study will establish a baseline understanding of current E&L data-processing practices and identify areas of convergence and variability across the industry. Results are expected to help inform future best practices, educational resources, and standards discussions for E&L data interpretation. The subcommittee anticipates completing the study and sharing results in early 2027.

Anyone, including non-E&L-focused researchers, is welcome to join. Those interested in participating or learning more are encouraged to contact Michael Rush at michael_rush@edwards.com

New Special Issue for Submission!

Submissions are open for a new special issue in Frontiers in Chemistry: "Non-Targeted Analysis for Environmental and Human Exposure Monitoring and Human Health Study." The organizers, Dr. Yong-Lai Feng (Health Canada) and Dr. Maria Margalef (VU Amsterdam), have set the deadline to February 19th, 2027

Moving forward with the Study Planning Tool
